Certified Prosthetist Orthotist

When I reflect on what led me to the field of O&P and where my life is today, I would have to say family has been the most influential factor in my career decisions. My grandfather was a physician and I remember spending countless late dinners listening to stories of the growth and development of our medical system. We discussed the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of diseases and ethics in medicine.

My father was a carpenter and mechanic. When my vehicle would break down, he would explain how what was broken worked and teach me how to do the repair. Finding and repairing old broken items quickly became a hobby. There are no two individuals exactly alike in this world and often satisfying their O&P needs requires unique solutions. As a Prosthetist/Orthotist, every day there is the opportunity to use the knowledge I have gained throughout my life to discover these solutions and improve my patient’s lives. I can’t think of a better job.

I attended the Newington Certificate program and completed my training in prosthetics in 2006. I spent the next 5 years gaining experience on the east coast. In 2011 I attended Northwestern University to complete my training in orthotics. I am ABC accredited in both Prosthetics and Orthotics. My training and experience are heavily weighted in prosthetics. I am certified to fit many of the newer technologies available to our patients.

I consider myself lucky to be given the opportunity to join such a patient centered, innovative and reputable team and company. When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me kayaking on the local whitewater river, downhill skiing, or playing Billiards competitively.
